Short Hello

Hail, G5!Long time no blogging... just taking over a friend´s computer for the night to answer emails and could not help coming back to the Blog.

I actually posted a veeeeery loooooooong answer to Mike´s post on the APD Blog just now. Oh, and disregard the email you will get (or got) on blogging. I sent it to the whole group in my address book.

Not a lot of news on this side of the planet, still hot and humid as a slave´s ass down here but bearable.We had a big b-b-q at home the other day to celebrate my sweet 16(+13) but I was so into the grilled goodies that I forgot to take pics... hope someone sends me theirs so I can post them here.

Both my dogs are still alive, a huge miracle after one of them was responsible for the 300-dollar damage to my laptop...

Missing you a lot, guys, could use a nice glass of Scotch and a croisant right now...So have you met up with Asma, Hari? What about you Cate, seen Ilhem?Me, I´m just miles away from any APDers... But only phisically. You guys take care and send me some more snow pics!!!!

Cate, damn you!! I would soooo love to have that view... I would settle for not having the view but having the wether... oh, well, I'll just keep melting away.
Harinda, would you mind a briefing on the Tamil? I know the very basics, but that's all... like what is the relation between the Tigers and the TNA? Too many things called Tamil something and I don't really get to what extent they are (or aren't) associated.
Anyway, it's a rainy Sunday here and a friend just came over so I'm gonna play hostess and leave you guys for now.

I had to download it twice because the first time I didn't get the whole file for some reason and the video stopped during Asma's message so I had to wait for the second download to see the ending... but dude, was it worth it!!!!!!

Hiya, G5! While I'm waiting for Cate's New Year’s surprise to download (which will take some time) I thought I could share an interesting piece of local news. Our current president, one of many of the peronist tradition, has decided to pay off the entire Argentine debt to the IMF. Not that we can actually spare the money -with over 40% of Argentines living in poverty and sky high unemployment rates- but the Homer Simpsons of this country just love this guy for such decisions… and then we wonder why we are not making progress… jeez. By the way, the 9.8 billion dollars were paid early this afternoon, according to a press conference held by our Minister of Economy.
